QueerScore is a three day festival platforming boundary-defying musical performances in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere, spread across three vibrant venues.

Discover a unique lineup of artists who are reshaping live music.

QueerScore

QueerScore is a celebration of LGBTQ+ artists making and performing music that defies genre. QueerScore provides the space for both young and established artists to try something out, to experiment with form, and to connect with audiences. Across three days our inaugural festival programmes an exciting mix of live music performance, led and created by queer composers and musicians. All of the work is either brand new, nearly new, or a work in progress of something that hasn’t yet been fully realised.

The 2026 festival is hosted in three special venues – the Space Talk Hi-fi Bar, the historic Hoxton Hall and the community hub of The Albany Theatre Deptford. We invite everyone to come and experience something different and dynamic in a relaxed and optimistic atmosphere. Expect well-stocked bars and brilliant performances curated specifically for each of these spaces.

The festival is co-artistic directed by Jess Walker and Sholto Biscoe. We came together over our shared values and interest in new queer-led work that doesn’t conform. We also both believe in collaboration across age and stage. We are at different points in our artistic journeys, but we share a hopeful, inclusive vision for our creative communities.

Donate

We are a brand-new non-profit festival and have been fortunate to receive one-off grassroots funding from Arts Council England. This is a fantastic start, but we need your support to make the festival a yearly event.

At a time when opportunities for experimental and non-traditional performance are shrinking across the UK, your support helps us create space for this work to thrive. Every donation helps us champion innovation and share boundary-pushing music with new audiences.
